The premier of ballet TALLE OF URAL

On September 6, 2022, the grand world premiere of the new ballet “Ural Tale,” created for the troupe of the State Academic Dance Theater “Gzhel,” took place at the Helikon Opera. This performance, based on the works of Pavel Bazhov, was choreographed by Konstantin Uralsky, with a new musical score composed by Kirill Volkov, following a script written by the choreographer.

The performance designers, Alina Yakovleva (set design) and Olga Glazunova (costumes), collaborated with the choreographer to craft an extraordinary fairy-tale world on stage. The performance brought to life characters from Pavel Bazhov’s famous fairy tales through vibrant folk dance scenes and the mysterious realm of the Mistress of the Copper Mountain.

Konstantin Uralsky’s choreography in this ballet is a unique fusion of folk dance and modern choreography. He skillfully blends these styles into a cohesive and distinctive choreographic language that is characteristic of this talented choreographer.

The performance was exceptionally rich and vibrant, receiving a warm reception from the audience, including many renowned professionals and dance enthusiasts.
